I find it so cool that I got to experience today...
definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity!
The BIG announcement is... (drum roll please!)
I HAVE A NEW JOB!
So, let me begin by telling you a little bit of background. At one point in my 5 month teaching career, I was looking for a new job...after looking and realizing that I wasn't qualified for what I wanted to go into, I stopped looking, moved on, and decided to stick out teaching for the entire school year. It would take a lot of self motivation on my part, but I knew I could make it work...somehow, someway. This was all before Thanksgiving break...so, I went on Thanksgiving break, had a great time, and was ready to relax on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. After church, my phone rang, and I saw that my mom had sent me a text message, and it had a business card picture. So, I called the name on this business card and it all started from there.
There is a gentleman from Jordan Lutheran Church that is a good family friend. After contacting him, he mentioned he was looking to hire someone at Cheminova. After looking into it more and the company itself (Check out Cheminova here!), I decided to move forward with the process. I fell in love with the idea of working in the agricultural industry, especially knowing that it will help me reach my goals in life. I have been offered the position and cannot wait to start. I will be finishing out my semester at St. Pauls High School in January, but will be starting my new position shortly after!
So, here's to the next few weeks being crazier than ever. I have to find a new place to live, move into the house, and get things situated and finalized at St. Pauls High School. There is so much to do, so little time, considering I will be traveling for 10+ days of it!
